ASUS is currently making the new models available only in Europe, for now

This week, ASUS quietly introduced two new Zenbook models, dubbed the UX32LA and UX32LN, both Ultrabooks models.

For those who remember, back in September in Berlin at IFA 2013, ASUS introduced the new Zenbook UX302, which was basically a refresh of the Zenbook UX301, a notebook that added an improved graphics solution, more storage and a sleeker frame.

And earlier this month, we told you ASUS is planning to expand its line of Ultrabooks with a new version called the ASUS Zenbook UX303.

The UX303 is expected to come bundling the latest generation graphics card, in the form of the NVIDIA GeForce GT 840M.

Anyway, while we’re waiting for this model to make an appearance in the world, the guys over at Mobile Geeks have stumbled upon two new Zenbook models which popped up in Europe.

So far, the UX32LA and UX32LN don’t seem to be available in the US, but customers located in Europe (Germany to be more precise) can pick those models up for €699 / $971 and €899 / €1,250 respectively.

Let’s take the two new models at a time and see what they offer. The Zenbook UX32LA is the cheapest model in the Zenbook family to date. That’s probably because of the low-resolution, which is maintained at 1366 x 768 pixels.

But the Zenbook UX32LA offers some premium capabilities as well, including Bang & Olufsen speakers, a backlit keyboard and a case that’s only 0.71 inches / 18mm thick, while the overall notebook weighs about 3.2 lbs / 1.45 kg.

The UX32LA draws its life source from a 4th-gen Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor from the Haswell family in combination with 4GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage (there’s a choice of 128GB SSD too).

In the connectivity department, we have 3 USB 3.0ports, HDMI out, mini DisplayPort, SD card reader, 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0.

Moving on to the Zenbook UX32LN, this model will be capable of answering the needs of more demanding users who aren’t happy with having an average resolution.

The UX32LA boasts the same shape and size, but apart from having the Intel Haswell processor fitted with Intel HD 4400 graphics, the new Zenbook also features NVDIA GeForce GT 840 graphics, exactly the UX303 model we were talking about earlier.

Furthermore, we have full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) but the rest remains pretty much the same. The improved resolution and new NVIDIA graphics GPU are the ones pushing the UX32LA’s price up with €200 / $278.

Stay tuned, as we will update in case the new ASUS Zenbooks make it to the US.
