The release of the PadFone and Fonepad tablets/smartphones has stirred something inside ASUS. The company is turning out to be very ambitious.

According to the newest report on the matter of tablet and notebook shipments, ASUS will be a very strong presence this year (2013).

The company intends to have the largest global market share for touch-enabled notebooks.

ASUS also wants to become the second largest provider of notebooks and tablets in general.

With devices like ASUS Memo Pad and MemoPad Smart 10, it might just pull it off, especially if it keeps them up to date.

The bottom line is that there will be a tight competition during 2013 on the laptop and tablet markets. ASUS will have to battle Google, Samsung, Acer, Panasonic, Lenovo, Fujitsu and Microsoft, etc. for the top spot.
