Over the past weeks, a number of hardware products have made their way on the Internet, as we are approaching the debut of the CeBIT computer show, due to start on March 3, in Hanover, Germany. The latest product to join the bunch is a new GeForce graphics card designed by ASUS, dubbed the ENGTX285 Ultimate. As the name might suggest, the card will provide its users with some performance tweaks, as it comes with a factory overclocked GPU. Despite no official word on part of its manufacturer, the card has already been leaked on the Internet and listed on an Australian retail website.

With the new card, ASUS has decided to keep NVIDIA's reference design, but change the card's clock levels, consequently providing users with increased performance, straight out of the box. Aside from that, you will get pretty much the same technical specifications as on other 55nm-based GeForce GTX 285 graphics cards, including NVIDIA's already famous technologies, namely PhysX, CUDA and the support for DirectX 10 applications.

According to the specifications made available by the Australian product pricing comparison site, shopbot, the upcoming GeForce GTX 285 Ultimate edition video card will boast a 712MHz core frequency, 1620MHz for the shader and 2760MHz for the 1GB of GDDR3 memory, featuring a 512-bit memory interface. That's a slight increase in clocks, compared with stock frequencies of 648MHz, 1476MHz and 2484MHz, respectively. Aside from that, the card is exactly what you would expect it to be, featuring a dual-slot cooling solution and a dual-DVI connectivity. For enhanced performance in high-end gaming rigs, the GTX 285 also comes with support for triple SLI.

No word on the official release date or pricing yet, but as the listing on the aforementioned website indicates, the card will become available for around AU$749, which is approximately US$481.68. The card will probably be showcased at the CeBIT event in March.
