Shortly after the new NVIDIA driver revealed new graphics products, the ASUS ENGTS450 DirectCU, a custom version of the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450, has been listed by an online retailer, even though its actual launch won't happen for a couple of weeks.

Just days ago, a new driver unveiled the codenames for quite a number of GeForce 400 series cards, the list including both mobile and desktop models.

Seemingly confirming the approach of said models, a GeForce GTS 450 video board has shown up on an online store, along with its general specifications.

As one may have expected, this product is built around the GeForce GF106 graphics processing unit, one of NVIDIA's lower-end Fermi GPUs based on the 40nm manufacturing process technology.

This chip has a clock frequency of 783 MHz and is paired with 1GB of GDDR5 memory, which operates at 3,600 MHz.

The video controller is also equipped with 192 CUDA cores and has a shader frequency of 1,566 MHz.

Furthermore, the board features a memory interface of 128 bits and boasts D-Sub, DVI and HDMI outputs.

As one may expect, ASUS ENGTS450 DirectCU is equipped with its maker's dual-slot cooler (obviously dubbed DirectCU), which has two heatpipes.

Needless to say, the model supports the full range of NVIDIA proprietary technologies, such as CUDA, PhysX and, of course, SLI, 2-way SLI in this case, for multi-GPU configurations.

According to the listing, this upcoming product carries a price tag which is the equivalent of 145 Euro (before applicable taxes).

Needless to say, this adapter will likely have to contend with competition on part of NVIDIA's other manufacturing partners, though none of them have, so far, revealed any GTS 450 of their own, indirectly or otherwise.

What remains to be seen is just how quickly NVIDIA manages to finally cover the entirety of the desktop and mobile graphics market.
