Soon after ASUSTek released its highly anticipated, high-end and stylish Eee PC S101, the company was expected to unveil yet another 10-inch Eee PC model that would provide the same design features that were made available to S101 users. The concept behind the Eee PC 1002HA was to provide a stylish and ultra-slim netbook system that would come with a more affordable price tag compared with the S101.

On that note, it appears that ASUSTek has just introduced its new Eee PC 1002HA netbook system, and it is already available for pre-order at Amazon.com.

We are not exactly sure when the Eee PC 1002HA will be in stock, but currently, the Atom-powered, 10-inch netbook is available for pre-order at a $499 price point, which also includes a free shipping deal. The specifications on the Eee PC 1002HA are rather similar to those of other 10-inch netbooks that are built on Intel's highly successful Atom platform. However, unlike most 10-inch netbooks, Eee PC 1002HA users will be able to pride themselves on a better-looking exterior design.

For $499, users will basically be able to take advantage of a 1.6GHz Atom processor, 1GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive with an additional 10GB of Internet storage, and a Windows XP Home operating system. Additional features include a high-speed wireless 802.11 b/g/n network connectivity, 1.3MP webcamera, 4-in-1 card reader, built-in stereo speakers, three USB 2.0 ports, one VGA port, one LAN port and two audio jacks, and a 4200mAh battery. Users will also be able to enjoy, obviously, the brushed aluminized chassis that should provide that stylish feel, along with benefiting from one year of warranty.

The Eee PC 1002HA has been designed as an affordable alternative to the company's Eee PC S101, which is also equipped with a Solid State Drive for a faster operating system experience.
