ASUS appears to have grown attached to Intel's Atom platform, which was initially designed as a solution for the growing market of netbook systems. Aside from the high number of Eee PCs it has already announced, the Taiwanese company has also experimented with the Atom platform for various other systems or devices. Such is the case of the Eee keyboard, which the company began showcasing since earlier this year. Significantly different from any other computer keyboard on the market, the Eee keyboard is now expected to become available by the end of next month.

According to recent reports on the part of Chinese Engadget, the new Eee device from ASUS will soon become available for fans and enthusiasts, as the company reportedly plans to launch it by the en of June 2009. The keyboard is expected to deliver specifications similar to those in previous reports, including a 32GB SSD, wireless 802.11n connectivity, HDMI, stereo speakers and microphone.

Since it was first announced by the company, there have been some misunderstandings regarding what the Eee keyboard is actually for. However, according to ASUS, this upcoming device will serve as a wireless media server, coming in the form of an extended keyboard that is packed with a low-power Atom processor. Also boasting an integrated 5-inch display, capable of a maximum resolution of 800 by 480 pixels, the upcoming keyboard from ASUS looks ready to enrich your home computing experience, thanks to its design and overall features.

There are still some details that need to be clarified regarding the pricing of the Eee Keyboard, but ASUS could reveal more during the Computex 2009 show in Taipei, starting early next month. By that time, a number of the company's other new products might also be unveiled, including the recently rumored Eee PC 1005HA, a follow-up to the Seashell Eee PC 1008HA, but with a replaceable battery pack.
