It appears that ASUS really did go for a complete computing portfolio when it refreshed its collection of ROG-branded products, going so far as to even unleash a new monitor and a headphone set.
Gamers and enthusiasts will probably be pleased to learn that ASUS has finished releasing, or at least formally revealing, the newest ROG products.
ROG stands for Republic of Gamers and is a logo that finds its way only on high-end and feature-packed PCs and hardware.
Users keeping track of things will likely have learned that, at Computex 2011, ASUS has already introduced such things as a
gaming notebook, two
Maximus IV motherboards, a pair of high-end
graphics cards and even a
desktop PC.
Turns out that the outfit also prepared a monitor and a gaming headset featuring the same brand, so that buyers can completely revamp their playing style.
The monitor is called ASUS VG27 and has a diagonal length of 27 inches, with full support for 3D, meaning that the refresh rate is of at least 120 Hz.
It utilizes LED backlighting, for both a high contrast and low power consumption, while the HDMI 1.4 input can let it communicate with the most advanced video adapters, 3D or no. Even more, a built-in infrared emitter can let it communicate wirelessly.
Meanwhile, audio can be enjoyed via the ROG Vulcan ANC Headset, which uses an active noise canceling system to filter external noise from not just the speakers themselves, but the boom microphone as well. Everything from movies, music and games to VoIP calls can, thus, be carried out with no issues.
“The first peripheral in the ROG family is the Vulcan ANC gaming headset with active noise-cancelling technology, which ensures an immersive audio experience, whatever the gaming environment,” says the company.
All in all, this year's Computex is definitely packed full of new and advanced hardware of all sorts.
