ASUS, one of the world's leading vendors of computer hardware and computer systems, announced today the launch of its new line of ultra-slim Designo MS Series of LCD monitors, designed to provide users with a choice for a sleek and high-quality display solution. The new series includes five new models, spanning across a range of form factors that includes 20-inch to 23.6-inch, widescreen monitors. Boasting a slim, 16.5mm profile, the new monitor series has been fitted with the company's Ergo-Fit technology, which essentially enables users to adjust the monitor's tilt angle with just one finger.

There are five new models, available in ASUS' new Designo MS LCD Series, all of which are built with similar features and specifications, but available in different form factors. Kicking off the series is the small MS202N/D, followed by MS227N, MS226H, MS236H/D and the MS246H/D. The first two can support resolutions of 1600x900 and 1680x1050, respectively, while the other three can deliver support for 1920x1080 full HD resolutions.

In addition, the monitors have been featured with 16.7 million colors, a dynamic contrast ratio of 50000:1, a 250cd/m2 brightness, 2ms GTG and a number of the company's own technologies, including the Trace Free Technology (not available on the MS202N/D model), the Splendid Video Intelligence Technology, the Skin-Tone Selection and Color Temperature Selection. In addition, according to ASUS, the new monitors have been designed with 50% less hazardous materials and provide a reduction of the power consumption of about 40%.

The 20-inch MS202N/D is featured with a DVI-D (MS202N) and D-Sub connectivity, which is also available on the 22-inch MS227N. The other three also boast HDMI and Earphone Out, while the 21.5-inch MS226H comes with HDMI Audio Out. Unfortunately, there's no word on pricing and availability at this time, but the Taiwanese company is bound to make the new series available worldwide before the upcoming holiday shopping season.
