As end-users know, the CeBIT trade show in Hannover, Germany is well underway and it appears that ASUS had a very nice lineup as far as gamers go, as its ROG collection of devices included even a new monitor.

Like in any other year, IT companies from around the world convened in Hannover, Germany for the 2011 edition of the CeBIT international trade show.

Unfortunately, it seems that there aren't as many new product on display as some may have hoped, meaning that the flow of hardware news is still rather slow.

Nevertheless, some companies did manage to present even full collections of devices, like ASUS, whose recent announcement revealed additions to its ROG line.

ROG (Republic of Gamers) is a logo that ASUS places on select product intended for gamers that are willing to pay what it takes for an immersive, high-end experience.

Already the ROG Rampage II Black Edition motherboard, the GTX 580 Platinum Matrix graphics card and the G74SX 3D laptop have been detailed.

Apparently, the outfit also prepared a display solution to go with them, each a juggernaut in their chosen field.

The monitor in question goes by the name of ROG VG278H, with a 27-inch diagonal and LED backlights, plus full support for 3D (obviously).

What's more, pretty much every high-end graphics card out there should work with the panel thanks to the existence of an HDMI 1.4 video input.

Finally, a built-in infrared emitter will even let one play games or watch movies, 3D or otherwise, without the need for cables and connectors.

Unfortunately, the press release had no information on the actual specifications, although one can assume the highest resolution and overall quality.

Either way, all details will be provided by the time sales start, although it is not known when or for what price that will be.
