Does not have a booth in Hannover, Germany, a report says

CeBIT is one of the biggest consumer electronics trade shows in Europe, but ASUS has no intention of showing its face there this year.

According to Digitimes, the company did not reserve a booth at the event taking place between 6 and 10 March in Hannover, Germany.

Given that ASUS is the largest vendor of PC motherboards and also has a big stake in netbooks, notebooks and other PC hardware, this is a slap in the face to the European economy.

After all, there aren't many reasons more likely for this decision than the ailing economical situation on the old continent.

It may be that ASUS just doesn't think showing up is worth it, since its presence there isn't likely to boost its sales and popularity in the EU higher than it already is. Next showing will probably be at Computex, in June.
