ASUS, an industry-leading motherboard manufacturer, unveiled today a new program for its high-end motherboards, called Asus Premium Service (APS), meant to offer users a guarantee of its commitment and also prove their investments are worth it. The program allows consumers to ship their defective boards for free, while also receiving a replacement product until their own is fixed.

The program will probably appeal most to enthusiastic gamers, who will not have to wait for months before their motherboards get fixed. ASUS announced that the program would include only a number of boards, most of the Republic of Gamers (R.O.G) Series as well as two from the new X58 line of products designed for Intel's Core i7 processor.

To be more specific, the motherboards in question are CROSSHAIR II FORMULA, MAXIMUS II FORMULA, RAMPAGE FORMULA, STRIKER II FORMULA, RAMPAGE II EXTREME, RAMPAGE EXTREME, STRIKER II NSE and STRIKER II EXTREME from the company's ROG series, and P6T DELUXE and P6T DELUXE/OC PALM from its Intel X58 Core i7 P6T Deluxe lineup.

The owners of one of these motherboards will be able to enjoy their convenient and top-priority service by contacting Asus Customer Service or logging in Asus Live Support. For now, the service is available for U.S. users, but it will probably be open for customers in other countries as well, although ASUS didn't give any specific piece of information on this.

“ASUS offers today’s discerning motherboard customer the widest range of choice for enthusiast platforms,” Said Sales Director Timothy Lin of ASUS North America. “By combining the most stable motherboards and unique features with comprehensive customer support, we expect ASUS motherboards to remain the enthusiast’s first choice.”

Effective immediately, customers that own one of the above mentioned boards can contact ASUS Customer Service and enjoy the benefits of the program. More details on Asus Premium Service are available on the company's dedicated site.
