After all the tablet unveilings at MWC and CeBIT, a sort of silence fell upon the market, but it seems some information on several models, pricing details in fact, have now made it to the web.

The thing about tablets is that they are one of the most surprising product type in the recent history of the IT industry.

Originally expected to either fail outright or become nothing more than a niche, they ended up soaring in popularity and sales almost immediately and even caused netbooks to start weakening in monthly shipments.

Most notebook and smartphone makers with serious plans for this new segment made their first real, major moves this year, either during MWC (Mobile World Congress) or CeBIT 2011.

Among them were Motorola, whose XOOM got several headlines in itself, as well as ASUS, LG and Acer, among others.

Then, of course, came the Apple iPad 2, whose early arrival and fairly low price compared to the ones above caused other players to reconsider their pricing schemes.

Now, while an exact availability dates were still not provided, the prices of the ASUS Eee Pad, LG Optimus Pad, Acer Iconia Tab A100 and Motorola XOOM seem to have been made public.

As reported by AndroidGeek, the online catalog of European retailer Phone House delivered the price tags.

The LG Optimus Pad demands the most from its buyers, with a tag of 849 Euro, which is the equivalent of $1,199. The XOOM is a close second, at 699 Euro ($987), followed by the ASUS Eee Pad at a much lower 399 Euro ($564).

Finally, the Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the most affordable, with a price point of 349 Euro, which translates into $493. All of them are “coming soon” although it is unclear just what this means in an industry known for delays.
