ASRock's A75M-ITX AMD Llano Motherboard Gets Pictured

With AMD's Llano launch quickly approaching, more and more details about the motherboards that support these chips start appearing, and ASRock is the first company to present an FM1 board that uses the mini-ITX form factor.

ASRock's creation is known as the A75M-ITX and, just as its name implies, it's based on AMD's A75 Fusion controller hub which offers native support for USB 3.0.

Outside of this feature, the board sports a rather basic design which includes just four SATA 6Gbps ports and what appears to be a 3+1 phase PWM.

Users do, however, get a PCI Express x16 slot, for adding a discrete GPU if they need more graphics power, and ASRock has also managed to squeeze two full length DDR3 DIMM sockets on the compact PCB.

Moving to the back of the motherboard we get to see that the A75M-ITX comes equipped with a PS/2 port, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, a Gigabit Ethernet port, a D-sub connector and an HDMI video output.

Audio is provided by a 7.1-channel codec with THX TruStudio certification and the board also sports an optical S/PDIF out.

The ASRock A75M-ITX is expected to be officially announced at the Computex 2011 fair, which will open its gates in a few days time, but its retail price is not yet known. However, given its feature set, it should carry an entry level price tag.

Other motherboard makers are also expected to release mini-ITX Llano motherboards during the fair.

AMD's Llano processors are an ideal solution for users interested in building an HTPC, or any other sort of small for factor PC, as the APUs feature a powerful on-die graphics core based on the Radeon Hd 6000-series design. (via VR-Zone)
