You can pump the CPU with 1,300W if you're really feeling adventurous

You'd think that the best PSUs could easily handle any sort of processing and memory load, but that's not really the case, or at least won't be for the ASRock X99 OC Formula motherboard.

You see, through the use of a 12-Phase high-quality Super Alloy Power design, ASRock gave the motherboard the ability to pump up to 1,300 W into the CPU socket.

That's more than most power supplies have available to power an entire PC, which means that hardcore overclocking lovers may want to get a second PSU before they go wild. Or one of those 1800W or 2000W PSUs, as rare as they are.

Probably the former, since one of the super-PSUs probably costs more than two 1300W combined, though it depends on supplier and retailer, I suppose.

Needless to say, Intel's Haswell-E LGA 2011-3 CPUs are supported (Core i7), while a bunch of endurance-enhancing and clock tweaking features are spread all over the PCB: Digi Power, Dual-Stack MOSFET (DSM), Multiple Filter Cap (MLC for short, which filters noise from the DIP solid cap, POSCAP and MLCC) and Premium Alloy Choke.

In layman terms, the ASRock X99 OC Formula promises a very high PC performance indeed, if you have the money and the willingness to spend it on a computer so tough you probably won't need another for 10 years afterwards.
