In the last few days we have seen quite a few ASRock LGA 2011 motherboards making their appearance and now the company has released pictures of its last Intel X79 powered solution scheduled for a Q4 launch, the X79 Extreme4.

The motherboard itself resembles a great deal the X79 Extreme4-M we had detailed just yesterday, but compared to its smaller brother this is a full size ATX board and not an mATX offering.

This means that we get a couple of extra expansion slots as well as a few other additional features, but at the heart of these two ASRock LGA 2011 solutions stands the same 8-phase VRM design with high-grade solid-state chokes and driver-MOSFETs.

Furthermore, the PCI Express slot layout is similar to that of its micro-ATX brother, meaning that it includes three PCIe x16 slots, two providing the full x16 bandwidth while the third has only eight PCI Express lanes routed to it, according to Tech Power Up.

These are seconded by a pair of PCI Express x1 slots as well as by two 32-bit legacy PCI slots, while storage is provided by a total of five SATA 6Gbps ports and four SATA 3Gbps ports.

One additional eSATA 6Gbps port is routed to the back of the X79 Extreme4 where is also joined by a pair of USB 3.0 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet, a number of USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire port and by a Clear COMS button.

Audio is provided by an 8+2 channel HD codec with optical and coaxial SPDIF outputs.

Two more USB 3.0 ports are available through a motherboard header, while the rest of the X79 Extreme4 features include on-board mounted Power and Reset buttons, a BIOS POST debug display and 3-way SLI and CrossFireX support.

No details regarding pricing were provided by ASRock, but these should be unveiled soon as we are getting closers to the Sandy Bridge-E launch.
