Today, ASRock has made available a new BIOS package targeted at one of its Intel C226 chipset-based motherboards, namely version 1.70 compatible with the E3C226D2I board, which can be installed through 3 different methods.

By installing this fresh update, the “CSM” (Compatibility Support Module) option as well as Auto detect ECC memory and show information features is added in the BIOS’s main page. As for applying the BIOS, there are 3 methods available: Instant Flash, DOS, and Windows.

In my opinion, by far the easiest one is the Windows method where you must simply get and expand the downloadable archive, close all running programs, run the exe file from within extract folder, and click “Yes” to restart the system.

After the computer reboots, the upgrade process start automatically, so make sure you don’t interrupt it. When it finishes, press “Enter” to restart the system once more, press “F2” to enter BIOS setup utility, and load and save the default settings (a good idea after every BIOS update).

That being said, if these changes please you, then download BIOS 1.70 for ASRock E3C226D2I Motherboard, take into account all the mentioned aspects, apply the BIOS, and enjoy your newly updated motherboard.
