Today, ASRock has announced the availability of new BIOS packages developed for some of its motherboards that update the Agesa code and include support for AMD’s newly released Athlon II x4 860K processor, as well as for Target TDP on FM2+ APUs.

When it comes to the compatible devices, the producer has provided the 1.30, 1.90, 2.00, and 2.60 versions developed for its FM2A88M-HD+ R2.0, FM2A78M Pro4+, FM2A78M-HD+, and FM2A88M-HD+ boards, respectively.

In addition to that, ASRock has also made available the 2.40 BIOS build targeted at the FM2A75M-HD+ and FM2A55M-HD+ motherboard units.

As for installing the packages, you can choose from 3 downloadable files that describe different update methods: Instant Flash, DOS, and Windows (all archives must be extracted before trying to initiate the flash process).

In order to use the Instant Flash method, save the proper archive and copy its content onto an empty USB drive, enter the BIOS setup menu, and use the Instant Flash option to run the file from the removable storage.

The DOS archive requires the same steps as the Instant Flash method, and only the BIOS file from within the archive must be executed using a DOS command.

Last but not least, if the Windows package is desired, simply save it on your computer, close all programs and processes that might interfere with the upgrade, run the .exe file as an administrator, and allow the system to do the rest.

That being said, from the links below, follow the one that best describes your ASRock motherboard model, click the download button and then on the installation method you desire, and update your BIOS to the latest version.
