When it officially announced the Fatal1ty motherboard series at the beginning of the year, ASRock let us know that it plans to release quite a few solutions bearing Johnathan's Wendel nickname, and a recent report has unveiled that the next such board to be introduced is called the ASRock P67 Fatal1ty Performance.

This will become a stripped down version of the P67 Fatal1ty Professional and it sports quite a few modifications meant to make the motherboard more affordable.

One of the first changes to be noticed is the reduced number of PCI Express x16 slots, as the Performance only sports one such slot in comparison with the three found in the previous Fatal1ty model.

Another thing that one could notice is that ASRock has also removed the third-party SATA controller that provided two additional 6Gbps connectors to the board as well as the lack of the USB 3.0 on-board header.

Slightly less visible is the modified VRM area which now features an 8+2 phase design compared to the 16+2 phases of the original Fatal1ty Professional.

Otherwise, the board still packs on-board Power and Reset buttons, a rear panel Clear CMOS switch, a BIOS debug display as well as three PCI Express x1 slots which are accompanied by three legacy PCI 32-bit slots.

Moving to the back of the P67 Fatal1ty Performance, we get to see that ASRock has included all the usual ports and connectors as the motherboard features two USB 3.0 ports, an eSATA port, 7.1 channel audio with optical and analog S/PDIF out and a slew of USB 2.0 ports.

The ASRock P67 Fatal1ty Performance has already appeared in price comparison engines around Europe and its price starts at 110 Euros.

Sadly, the board is not yet available in stock and we don't know when the first shipments arrive. (via HardwareLuxx)
