Today, ASRock has launched a new set of BIOSes aimed at some of their AMD motherboards with FM2 socket

The update addresses FM2A85X Extreme6, FM2A85X Extreme4-M, FM2A85X Extreme4, FM2A75 Pro4-M, FM2A75 Pro4 and FM2A55 Pro boards (to download the corresponding BIOS for each motherboard, click on its name).

The first five share the same notable change: an update to the CPU code, while the last has some more tweaks than the other.

FM2A55 Pro updates its BIOS to version 1.70 and, as mentioned before, with this release comes the CPU code enhancement found on the other boards as well as DDR3-OCZ-1G-1600 memory patch, updated EZ-OC table and a modified add-on for graphics adapters with memory sharing issues.

All the BIOSes mentioned in this post are available in the typical three options provided by ASRock: Windows, Instant Flash and DOS.

To update via ASRock's Instant Flash BIOS utility, simply download the file, decompress it and save it to your hard drive or USB flash.

Restart the computer, enter BIOS and under the “Smart” menu, hit “Instant Flash.” The preinstalled utility will look for valid update files and shows you the available options.
