AOC has unveiled earlier today a new 27-inch Full HD desktop monitor with a response time of just 2ms, which was designed primarily for gamers and playing back fast-paced multimedia content.

The company’s new creation was dubbed the e2752Vh and is built around a Full HD resolution TN panel with WLED backlighting.

According to AOC, this panel can deliver 300 cd/m² of brightness, has a 20,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio (no word on its native contrast), and a 2ms GTG response time which makes it great for multimedia applications and games.

Like most other multimedia computer displays out there, the e2752Vh also comes equipped with two built-in 2.5 watt speakers, which the company says can deliver SRS-quality sound.

On the connectivity front, AOC included the usual ports, such as VGA, DVI and HDMI, the latter two also supporting the HDCP technology. A DisplayPort input is sadly missing.

Other features include the so-called iMenu option, which allows the user to change settings using only the keyboard and mouse, and the embedded Screen+ software, which divides the screen into four self-contained work areas for improved productivity.

Furthermore, the e2752Vh also sports an Off Timer that sets an alarm clock to turn off the monitor automatically.

"This cost-effective WLED monitor cuts down on energy consumption while offering the features that power users search for in a display - an extremely fast response time, impressive image quality and a sizeable screen," said Robert Velez, AOC marketing manager.

In the US, the e2752Vh will be available starting with April for $299.99 (roughly 230 EUR) at various retailers including TigerDirect, Best Buy, Newegg and Amazon, among others.
