Yesterday, AOC announced the introduction of what it likes to call "a new breed of multi-functional high-definition display technology." The new product comes in the form of a 22-inch HD multi-functional display that sports HD3 technology. Dubbed 2230Fm, AOC's new display is poised to considerably enhance the viewing experience of all of those high-definition enthusiasts.

Being a multi-functional display, the latest AOC product can be used as a true HD monitor, HDTV, digital picture frame, and even Multi-media player. All of these functions have been built inside a single 22-inch display, in order to allow users to enjoy HD content without the need of using an external DVD player or PC.

With the 2230Fm, users can simply load a film onto a memory card and then plug it into the product's built-in 4-in-1 card reader. Using AOC's proprietary menu and remote control, they can enjoy a movie without using the PC. On top of that, the product has been built to provide a stylish design combined with a number of features that will respond to the requirements of today's costumers.

"While consumers are using cell phones for MP3 players, internet browsers, TVs, navigation devices, and phones, AOC determined that consumers deserved a display that would act as more than just an HD monitor or TV, so we developed HD3," said Robert Velez, Marketing Manager of AOC. "We're very excited to be the first to bring HD3 technology to the market with the 2230Fm. AOC has taken over 40 years of display manufacturing experience to create this new way for consumers to enjoy a wide array of video options with a built in media player, and top-level performance regardless of whether it's being used as an HD TV, monitor or Digital picture frame," Velez added.

As far as technical specifications go, the AOC new product boasts an impressive 20.000 to 1 contrast ratio, 2ms response time for extreme gamers, while the built-in card reader and USB 2.0 port support jpg, .bmp, .png, .gif and .tiff files. Being designed with businesses in mind, the 2230Fm features the latest POS display technology. And all of these features will be available to users willing to pay around $400 for it.
