Those of you that have been keeping a close eye on AMD's Thuban line of processors probably knew the Sunnyvale-based company planned on replacing its current flagship, the six-core 1090T, with a more powerful offering, the 1100T, a German website uncovering this processor listed on an online store ahead of its official launch.

As previous rumors already stated, AMD's new six-core flagship will be called the Phenom X6 1100T, this being the direct successor of the present day 1090T.

Compared to the 1090T however, this will come with an increase clock speed and Turbo Core frequency, as the cores come at 3.3GHz (100Mhz higher than the 1090T), the Turbo Core frequency being rated at 3.7GHz.

Since we are dealing with only a small bump in core frequency, AMD managed to retain the same 125 TDP for the 1100T, so users that choose to go with this CPU won't have to deal with increased power demands compared to the 1090T.

As it was the case with its predecessor, the 1100T will also feature the Black Edition marking, meaning this will come with an unlocked multiplier, allowing for more overclocking headroom as the selectable multiplier offers more flexibility in this regard compared to a normal, non-BE, CPU.

Furthermore, the online store cited by the German ati-forum website, goes on and provide us with a price for the 1100T as this is listed at $300, $70 over the current 1090T.

However, you must keep in mind that online stores very often list unreleased top of the line computer parts are higher than MSRP prices, trying to take advantage of early adopters and enthusiasts that usually want these as soon as possible and are prepared to pay more in order to get them.

According to the German website, that brought this news into our attention, the 1100T should be released in Q4 of this year, so there isn't that much time left until we will find out AMD's price plans regarding the 1100T.
