AMD has just outed the 13.8 beta version of its Catalyst and Mobility Catalyst graphics drivers suitable for most of its Radeon HD cards, which is compatible with both 32- and 64-bit variants of Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8 operating systems.

The new release adds support for CrossFire Frame Pacing, which ensures a regular rate display for frames rendered across multiple GPUs in a CrossFire configuration, and which is compatible with DirectX 10 and 11 applications, and 2560x1600 single display resolutions.

Moreover, the 13.8 beta version improves performance for Metro: Last Light by up to 7% on the Radeon HD 7000 series cards, and adds full support for OpenGL 4.3 feature set, User Profiles, and Catalyst Application Profiles.

Furthermore, the Catalyst Control Center now displays active applications on the Performance and Power-Saving GPU, CrossFireX doesn’t crash on some of AMD’s 970 platforms, Radeon HD 7790 card is more stable than before, and the cursor has no corruption whatsoever.

Bear in mind that AMD’s new package is still a beta driver, therefore it’s provided “AS IS” and under its terms and conditions. However, for future stable versions, the producer has an issue reporting form available, which you can use for both desktop and mobility products.

That being said, from the list below, follow the one that best describes your system configuration, and update your graphics card.
