AMD's CEO continues job cuts Enlarge picture - AMD's CEO continues job cuts
AMD’s new CEO Rory Read already showed us he is a man of action when he announced 1,400 job cuts at the beginning of November and now it appears that Read has turned its attention towards Europe.

Just like before, the job cuts target marketing and sales staff, but the PR department seems also to be on the CEO’s to-do list .

According to Fudzilla, the cut back focused on employees holding junior positions with just a few exceptions.

Nobody seems to know how much longer with this process take, but we hope for AMD’s sake that Read knows what is doing.

After all, Intel desperately needs some competition in the CPU space, especially in the high-end market, if we don’t want processor prices to start going up in the future.
