While we're still waiting for AMD to finally go official with its AMD Radeon HD 6900 series graphics cards (which is going to happen very, very soon), the company has apparently decided to offer gamers yet another pleasant surprise and revealed a couple of new CPUs, including here their new six-core flagship model, the Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition. Targeting power users and enthusiasts, the new Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition from AMD provides access to a set of high-end features like unlocked clock multipliers, Turbo CORE technology and six-core performance.

Backing these bold claims, the 1100T's spec list is indeed quite impressive, listing six cores set to 3.3 GHz, 6MB of L3 cache, an unlocked multiplier, and a TDP of 125W.

Moreover, it's also quite interesting to mention that the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T requires an AM3 motherboard and is manufactured using the 45nm technology.

As mentioned before, AMD has released more than just the Phenom II X6 1100T today, the company also revealing the lower cost (and, naturally, also lower-power) Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition, described as an affordable processor for enthusiasts looking for performance-tuning capabilities at “amazing” clock speeds.

The Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition is clocked at 3.4 GHz, and as the name suggests, has two cores, as well as a TDP of 80W, plus 6MB of L3 cache.

Last, but certainly not least, comes the 3.3 GHz Athlon II X3 455 CPU, which sports no L3 cache, but gets a 95W TDP instead.

Obviously, pricing for these new AMD CPUs depends directly on their positioning and features, the Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition selling for $265, while the Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition costs $115 and the 3.3 GHz Athlon II X3 455 just around 87 US dollars, respectively.
