The release of the Radeon R7 265 is what caused this to happen

Advanced Micro Devices has released the $149 / €109 Radeon R7 265 graphics card, and since that one is priced so high, it couldn't afford to overlap with a weaker model.

So, soon, you should be able to find the Radeon R7 260 sold for $119 / €89 (without VAT).

At least I hope it's soon. A casual search online showed some retailers listing the thing for $139 / €101 or more.

In fact, one of the most expensive models is priced at $159.99 / €117. Obviously, that's not acceptable anymore, though I can see some retailers keeping those prices going for a while, until stocks of 265 reach them anyway.

For those who want to know the specs of the R7 260, here are the core details: 1 GHz max GPU clock (768 stream processors), up to 2 GB GDDR5, 1 x 6-pin power connector.
