AMD has made available a new version of its Catalyst Graphics driver, namely 14.7 RC 3, which is compatible with Microsoft’s Windows 7 and 8.1 operating systems, Windows 8 support being dropped within earlier releases.

This new update includes all fixes and improvements brought by previous driver versions, adds crossfire support for the Wildstar title, and ensures a smoother gameplay on single and multi GPU configurations for Watch Dogs and Lichdom games.

In addition to that, AMD’s release adds display interface enhancements in order to reduce flickering and increase 4k monitor performance, and includes several improvements for the Radeon R9 290 Series, Radeon R9 270 Series, and Radeon HD 7800 Series graphics cards.

Moreover, as the producer highlights, cable quality can seriously affect the 4k performance even with the aforementioned improvements. Therefore, it would be best if you use DisplayPort 1.2 HBR2 certified cables with a length of 2m or less.
