The Athlon X2 370K CPU has been discovered and detailed

I've heard and read a lot about the Richland series of accelerated processing units, even reported on the latest pictures of the high-end models.

What some may not yet know is that there will be a bunch of low-end chips too, some of which will have disabled graphics.

That's why they'll qualify as CPUs (central processing units) rather than APUs. AMD has chosen the brand name Athlon for them.

Which leads us to the CPU World report about the Ahtlon X2 370K CPU with 2 cores, maximum clock speed of 4.2 GHz (Turbo Core), and 1 MB L2 cache memory, plus a TDP (thermal design power) of 65W. The socket is FM2, like for all other Richland chips.

I imagine this won't be a retail-available CPU, but one for OEMs who want to make low-end PCs.

No clue what the base frequency is, sadly.
