AMD has released the new AMD Catalyst 13.11 Beta 6 video driver for Linux platforms, but with very little information about its contents.

AMD fixed its policy regarding the release notes for the new drivers, but this time they failed to provide any information about the new version.

It stands to reason that the new Beta version has been made available in order to provide support for the newly released AMD Radeon R9 290X and AMD Radeon R9 290. Also, it also provides support for the latest Linux kernel 3.12 branch.

The AMD Catalyst 13.10 Beta 6 video driver most likely offers production support for the following Linux-based operating systems: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 and 6.4, Novell SUSE Enterprise Linux 11 SP3, OpenSuSE Linux 11.4 and 12.1, and Ubuntu 12.04.2 and 13.04 (Ubuntu 13.10 support will arrive in the stable release).

Download the AMD Linux Display Drivers 13.10 Beta 6 right now from Softpedia. Remember that this is a development version and it should NOT be installed on production machines. It is intended for testing purposes only.
