AMD has outed version 13.6 Beta of its Catalyst Graphics driver, which is compatible with both bit versions of Microsoft’s Windows Vista, 7, and 8 operating systems.

In addition to that, the driver supports the Radeon HD 7900, 7800, 7700, 6000, and 5000 desktop graphics card series, as well as the HD 8000M, 7000M, 6000M, and 5000M notebook GPU series.

AMD’s latest Catalyst version adds support for the new A10, A8, A6, and A4 series APUs (on both desktop and mobile platforms), and reduces power consumption when using Metro apps on Windows 8.

Moreover, it includes AMD GPU and AMD APU Open CL 1.2 in Adobe Premiere PRO CC, and adds support for Wireless Display on Windows 8 through the Elite A-Series APUs combined with the Broadcomm and Atheros wireless adapters.

As for fixes, the release resolves the HDMI audio drop-out problem spotted on the Radeon HD Series cards, and the Catalyst Control Center that would show Audio Display messages randomly.

If you consider updating to this version, bear in mind that the driver is provided “AS IS,” and AMD doesn’t take credit for any related damages made to the card, but has issue reporting forms available for both desktop and mobile products.

That being said, follow one of the links below depending on whether you own a desktop or notebook graphics card, and start playing.
