AMD started off its Richland series of accelerated processing units with the best and brightest, but the mid-range and entry-level processors are coming out now, like the A4-6300.

Well, the A4-6300 was actually spotted last month, available for pre-order. Only now have sales begun though, through Newegg and some smaller online stores.

The chip is a dual-core APU with a clock speed of 3.7 GHz and Turbo Core technology that can push said frequency to 3.9 GHz in a pinch.

1 MB L2 cache memory is included, along with a DDR3 memory controller and PCI Express 2.0 interface support.

As for the GPU, it is a Radeon HD 8370D with 128 Stream processors and 760 MHz clock.

All in all, for a chip with 65W TDP, AMD's A4-6300 Richland APU not so bad, especially at a price of $59.99 / €59.99.
