Newegg has already finished its stock of the high-end graphics card

We knew AMD's Radeon HD 7970 graphics card was a really big and strong piece of work, but we didn't exactly see its fast sell-out coming.

Nevertheless, even though people were supposed to be less eager to spend cash on expensive things after the recent holidays, many people bought the new high-end card.

In fact, people flocked to the new board so fast that Newegg ended up completely exhausting its stock just hours after the board was listed there.

That goes for both AMD's reference model and the cards from its partners.

The price is of $559.99 (433 to 440.9 EUR), so people can't say this was a promotional offer either.

Thus, even if the high-end nature of the board meant inventories weren't very large, this is still an impressive feat.

There is no clue when Newegg will replenish its supply.
