A couple of days ago, on Saturday, we reported that a leak had revealed the impending arrival of an AMD video card called Radeon HD 7790. Now we know more of the specifications.

This time, Hardware.info website is the source of the information.

One clarification is that the HD 7790 will use a completely new GPU called “Bonaire,” because the “Pitcairn” used in HD 7850 is too expensive and strong and the “Cape Verde” used in HD 7770 is already as powerful as it can get.

According to the new leak, the Stream Processor count is 896 after all, not 768.

Overall, the HD 7790 will be around 10% slower than the HD 7850, probably on par with NVIDIA's GeForce GTX 650 Ti.

April is when sales will begin, priced somewhere between $110 / 85-110 Euro and $170 / 130-170 Euro.
