Yesterday we reported that AMD is planning to release the Radeon HD 6770 and HD 6750 graphics cards into the retail channel and it now seems like the first such solutions have already become available courtesy of XFX.

The Radeon HD 6770 and HD 6750 graphics cards were expected to make their official debut on April 28, but it seems like XFX was really eager to push these solutions to the market as the company has already listed the two video cards on its website.

Both solutions feature an all-black printed circuit board and offer CrossFireX support, but the HD 6770 adopts a dual-slot cooler while its smaller brother goes for a single-slot design.

This limits the number of video outputs available to a pair of dual-link DVI ports and a mini-DP connector, while the XFX HD 6770 features the same two DVI ports, but swaps the mini-DP connector for a full-size DisplayPort output and also packs HDMI connectivity.

As we reported yesterday, the Radeon HD 6770 and HD 6750 are just re-branded versions of AMD's previous HD 5700-series GPUs.

This means that the HD 6770 features 800 streaming processors, 40 texturing units, 16 ROP units and a 128-bit memory bus, which is connected to 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

In comparison, the HD 6750 features the same amount of video buffer as well as 16 ROP units and a 128-bit wide memory interface, but packs only 720 stream processors and 36 texturing units.

The clock speeds of the cards are also the same as those of their HD 5770 counterparts and the only worthwhile update brought by these two mainstream solutions is the addition of an HDMI 1.4a output that enables AMD HD3D support.

The price of the XFX Radeon HD 6770 hasn't been announced until now, but the HD 6750 is available for a whopping $169.99. (via XtremeSystems)
