Advanced Micro Devices still doesn't have a CEO but this doesn't seem to be stopping it from going ahead with a certain project that it is previewing at the Sony Creative Software NAB Users Event 2011 event.

There definitely seem to be many things happening on the IT market recently, and this extends to more than just new lawsuits against NVIDIA or IBM's graphene transistor milestone.

In fact, Advanced Micro Devices, though still looking for someone to fill in the position of CEO, has not been neglecting its activities.

In fact, the company is participating in the 11th Annual Sony Creative Software NAB Users event taking place today, April 11, 2011, in Las Vegas.

The Sunnyvale, California-based company is using this opportunity to reaffirm its support for the Sony Vegas Pro editing software with AMD processors and graphics products.

To this end, Charlie Boswell, Director of Digital Entertainment, AMD, and filmmaker Justin Fornal, will discuss and premiere a trailer from "Giving Voices,” their latest Sony Vegas Pro project.

These two people were recently in Jacmel, Haiti, visiting the Le Cine Institute (which intends to tell the story of Haiti's rebirth, so to speak), where they provided AMD processors and graphics to students.

For those still unaware, “Giving Voices” is an upcoming episodic web series. It is the latest project Justin has undertaken after having worked with Sony Vegas Pro for almost ten years.

Aside from this, the two will talk about the unique ways that Sony Creative Software can be implemented, as opposed to slow and non-intuitive technology.

For those that want some background information, Charlie Boswell has worked and is still working directly with content creators and entertainment industry personalities like Rick McCallum at Lucas Film (worked on Star Wars) and director Robert Rodriguez at Troublemaker Studios.

As for Justin Fornal, he has been producing the TV hit show "Bronx Flavor," which just got picked for another season.

Those seeking more information on the event need only drop by this official web page.
