AMD has outed a new and WHQL-certified Catalyst graphics driver targeted at its Athlon and Sempron APUs (Accelerated Processing Unit), namely version 14.6 RC, which is compatible with most of the FX- and A-Series units that include one of the Radeon R4, R5, R6, and R7 graphics chips.

Specifically speaking, this fresh release is to be applied on systems that have consumer units, such as the A6-7000 with Radeon R4, A8-7100 and A8-7200P with Radeon R5, A10-7300 and A10-7400P with Radeon R6, as well as FX-7500 and FX-7600P APUs with Radeon R7 graphics chipsets.

In addition to that, the producer has also included in the compatibility list its A6 PRO-7050B with Radeon R4, A8 PRO-7150B with Radeon R5, and A10 PRO-7350B commercial APUs with Radeon R6 graphics technology.

When it comes to the supported OSes, AMD’s present release is developed for both 32- and 64-bit architectures of Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system as well as for the 64-bit variant of Windows 8.1 platform.

However, it might be possible that this Catalyst package is compatible with other OSes, but we do not recommend installing the 14.6 RC version on platforms other than the aforementioned ones.

That being said, if your system configuration is suitable for this release, download AMD Catalyst Athlon/Sempron APU Graphics Driver 14.6 RC, apply the package, and stay “updated one minute ago.”
