In completion of the Stable Image Platform, AMD attacks the entertainment industry and adds more to the multimedia experience by introducing the AMD LIVE! Ready program. The main goal of this is to help users choose from a big number of devices and software the ones which AMD
recommends as being the best ones for you, the user.

Joe Menard, corporate vice president of AMD's Consumer Business said in an interview that "As more and more consumers embrace the AMD LIVE! solution, we continue to reduce complexity and move technology out of the way for a more delightful consumer experience. We are excited to leverage our open-platform approach and collaborate with industry leaders to help simplify hardware and software choices for consumers digital entertainment."

With this, yet another new initiative from AMD, the end users will have an easier way of selecting components that are compatible and work best with AMD LIVE! enabled desktops and notebooks, AMD LIVE! Home Cinema and AMD LIVE! Home Media Server. In this line of products, which will be branded with the AMD LIVE! Logo, you can find portable media players, network devices, software, TV Tuners, storage devices, web cams, digital media adapters and more.

Also included in this deal is the Active-TV technology, it uses a PC browser to process PC-web and TV-web pages. Think of this as being a way for you to broadcast, locally or not, your favorite movie or music to the TV set, where all the family can enjoy it. So a marriage between the PC and the TV is at hand, all just for you to be able to enjoy the most entertaining multimedia experience.
