Although it was only recently introduced (we had the pleasure of seeing it live at MWC 2011), it seems that Acer's Iconia W500 Windows 7 tablet powered by AMD Fusion is already up for pre-order in Europe.

So, according to a report by TCMagazine, the new 10.1-incher from Acer has apparently already popped-up for pre-order across a couple of German online stores, the list price being set at around 500 Euro (691 US dollars).

As some of you might remember from our previous article on this topic, the Iconia W500 is built on AMD's Fusion platform, including the Ontario C-50 APU with Radeon HD 6250 graphics, plus 2GB of RAM memory, a combo that makes it powerful enough to run a wide array of applications, without stressing the 3-cell battery too much.

Additionally, the tablet makes very good use of a 32GB SSD for storage purposes, while also sporting quite a few other features that will certainly come in handy for Internet access (Wi-Fi) or multimedia playback (an HDMI port).

If the price point provided by the aforementioned source proves to be the right one, then we'd dare to say that the Iconia W500 from Acer will manage to offers users a very good value, given the fact that it will be one of the most affordable such products available on the European market, not to mention the fact that's able to deliver a very good level of performance.

Plus, given the fact that, much in the same way as Asus' Transformer tablet, the W500 is also accompanied by a keyboard docking accessory, it might prove to be extremely appealing to an even wider category of users, namely those who want to benefit from the extreme portability of a tablet in certain situations, while in the same time being able to use it for work, complete with a physical keyboard.
