Released just the other day, AMD's FX-Series processors have now reached retail and they are available from various brick and mortar and online retailers, including Newegg which sells three of the four processors announced by the chip maker.

The fourth chip, the FX-4100, isn't yet listed on Newegg, but we spotted the CPU yesterday on several European website where it has a price tag of 114€ ($157 US).

Getting a hold of the FX-8150 is also somewhat of a problem as the chip is out of stock both on Newegg and Tiger Direct, but AMD states that the next CPU shipment should be here soon as the company isn't facing any manufacturing issues with the chip.

The FX-8150 is the most powerful of the four processors the Sunnyvale-based chip maker launched, as it packs four Bullodzer modules for a total of eight computing cores, and Newegg has listed it at $279.99 (205 Euros), $35 more than AMD's MSRP.

The chip has a base clock speed of 3.6GHz and also supports the Turbo Core 2.0 technology that can increase its operation frequency to a maximum of 4.2GHz when only half of the cores are in use.

Those of you who want a cheaper eight-core processor have the option of going for the FX-8120 that boasts similar specs with its older brother even though its base clock speed was reduced at 3.1GHz.

This also benefits from the advantages brought by Turbo Core as it can reach a maximum of 4GHz, but comes with a retail price tag of $219.99 (161 Euros).

Finally, the third chip to be listed by Newegg is the FX-6100 which drops one of the dual-core Bulldozer modules of its older brothers in order to come with an $189.99 (139 Euros) price tag.

The remaining six cores are clocked at 3.3GHz and these can reach 3.6GHz when all are in use or a maximum of 3.9GHz when only three cores are active.

AMD's recommended retail pricing for the FX-8120 and FX-6100 is set at $205 and $165, respectively. (via Legit Reviews)
