AMD Catalyst 13.2 Beta 3 Driver Is Officially Launched

After almost a week of waiting, AMD offers the Crysis 3 beta driver to the public

A new driver from AMD is out. The Catalyst 13.2 beta 3 boosts performance by up to 15% in high MSAA cases for the Crysis 3 beta release. If you think that's not quite an impressive increase, AMD promises better future versions for both single GPU and CrossFire configurations.

Although rated as a Crysis 3 driver, the 13.2 beta improves single GPU performance by up to 50% in Devil May Cry, and CrossFire performance by up to 10% in Crysis 2.

This release also reduces latency in Skyrim, Borderlands 2 and Guild Wars 2, and resolves the texture flickering seen in DirectX9.0c applications.

A peculiar thing baffles us: at first, AMD included the Linux driver in the 13.2 Beta release, but it’s now on a separate page, with a changelog that differs from the Windows version. You can view a screenshot of the original page in the gallery.

For Linux, this update resolves a Team Fortress 2 performance issue with Ubuntu 12.04/12.10 and AMD Radeon HD 7000, 6000 Series GPU. It brings up to 300% performance improvement, which is simply astonishing.

There is also a Serious Sam 3 launching and corruption issue resolved for the same operating systems and graphics adapters.

The download links are listed below. Install the drivers and stay “updated one minute ago.”
