AMD is always paying attention to feedback from its users and, as proof, here is a new version for the Catalyst 12.11. Although it's just a beta, the new driver fixes some of the issues users complained about in the previous version.

For those who enjoy playing Max Payne 3, this driver improves performance by up to 5%. It might not seem much but it's better than nothing.

If you own a single GPU graphics board, the new Catalyst driver adds some performance updates for Far Cry 3.

CrossFire scaling is improved for Planetside 2, but still limited to 30% at 2560x1600.

The lighting issue in Skyrim is now resolved for the AMD Radeon HD7900 users. If you own one of the HD 6000 or HD 5000 series graphics board, you have to know that the hang encountered when playing Dishonored has now been fixed.

Linux users will get significant improvements in Left for Dead 2.

Don't get too excited because some users claim that the HDMI problem is not yet solved (mainly because the voltage and the clocks are too low). Adding to that, others complain that the idle speed of the GPU is too high (500Mhz).

As usual, we provide the download links and the regular warning: this is a beta driver. Use with caution.
