Since Advanced Micro Devices so graciously launched its Bulldozer central processing units, CyberPower decided not to waste any time, so it went ahead and launched updated gaming machines.

For those who haven't found out yet, Advanced Micro Devices just released the FX-Series of Bulldozer central processing units.

The only downside, albeit big one, is that benchmarking tests found the performance of the flagship FX-8150 to be somewhat underwhelming.

Nonetheless, a new CPU architecture is still something to celebrate, even if reviews didn't feel it lived up to its hype.

As it happens, CyberPower came forward to announce that the Gamer Scorpius 9500, 9000, 8000 and 7500 now have the FX chips as an option.

This is a similar maneuver to how this company announced systems powered by the A-Series Llano, back in July.

Those interested can go here to check out CyberPower's collection of new and old gaming beasts.

The four newcomers have the quad-core FX-4100, the 6-core FX-6100, or the 8-core FX-8150 handled by Windows 7 home premium 64bit with SP1.

Furthermore, prospective buyers will have to select between air and water coolers, depending on how much they want to let loose in overclocking projects.

Additionally, one or two NVIDIA graphics cards can be added to the mix, or three AMD Radeon series.

The customizability level is similar for storage units (several hard disk drives or solid state drives can be thrown into the mix).

Finally, a solid level of random access memory (RAM) can be chosen (the maximum is 16 GB DDR3, not the highest ever seen but still more than enough for all).

As with all gaming rigs, the price will go higher as new things are added, possibly to what only barely falls short of astronomical sums.

Fortunately, the actual starting price is quite humane, at $575 (about 418 Euro, based on exchange rates).
