Now that the Sunnyvale, California-based chip maker has finally announced the official debut of its new generation of Radeon graphics cards, users can start upgrading their desktop PCs with the latest solutions. However, the two high-performance cards, the HD 5870 and the Radeon HD 5950, have been designed mostly for the high-end segment, where users are required to pay considerably more for that extra pump of performance. Fortunately, AMD is scheduled to unveil a couple of new cards, including a lower-profile Radeon HD 5750, which has just made an appearance on the Internet.

Based on the same GPU architecture as AMD's recently announced Radeon HD 58xx series, the new HD5750 graphics card will boast the Juniper 40nm graphics processing unit and will provide users with a level of performance that is comparable to cards like AMD's own HD4850, the HD4770 or NVIDIA's GeForce GTS 250. However, this card will be mostly focused on the mainstream market, providing users with an affordable alternative to the high-end, Cypress-based Radeon HD 5870 and HD 5850 GPUs.

There aren't many details available at this time, but the fellows over at mymypc.com were lucky enough to get their hands on a couple of pictures and a couple of features. The card, according to the aforementioned website, has been featured with 1120 stream processor units. Clock speeds are rated at 700MH for the stream processors and 4600MHz for the 128-bit GGDR5 memory.

What this adds up to is a card that is capable of delivering up to 73.6GB/s of bandwidth and 1.57 TFLOPS of compute performance. What's really interesting is that the upcoming Radeon HD 5750 will be priced between £110-120, which makes it a noteworthy alternative to AMD's latest family of desktop high-end GPUs. Unfortunately, we have no details on official debut or pricing for that matter.
