This was the first time JT performed the song on live television

Justin Timberlake got the party started at the 2013 American Music Awards with a spectacular live performance of “Drink You Away,” which is included on his album “The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2.” As usual, you can see it in full above.

The 32-year-old musician, dressed to the nines as usual and accompanied by his band, put on a spectacular show that didn’t even include dancers or any other elaborate stage setups. His music isn’t exactly my cup of tea, but I have to admit that he’s a very entertaining performer, the likes of whom you don’t see that often these days.

This was the first time that Justin performed “Drink You Away” on live television, and his fans will certainly remember it.

Also at the awards show, Justin won 3 awards, for Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Soul/R&B Male Artist and Favorite Album. With that last win, he now has something else to shove in critics’ faces, especially those who say “20/20” was not worth the 6-year wait.
