Nicki Minaj isn’t exactly known for being the most subtle or “common” performers out there but at last night’s American Music Awards 2012, she showed the world that she too can tone it down. Check out the video of her performance above: it’s simple and very effective.
Wearing a white fur coat and matching furry boots, the rapper got into the Christmas spirit one month before for a live rendition of her latest single, “Freedom.”
“Freedom” is lifted off “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” and is yet to get an official video.
Also during the awards show, Nicki was honored with Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, both for the aforementioned album.
Since we’re on the topic of her performance, many are noting online that her famous derriere seemed to have downsized overnight, so either she took out the padding or this is one helluva optical illusion.
