Intel's Cedar Trail series of CPUs has spread across much of the worldwide industry, not just the consumer market, as AIS is all too eager to show.

American Industrial Systems, Inc. (AIS) has revealed the AIS industrial embedded touch panel PCs series of Cedar Trail systems.

They are powered by the Intel Atom processor D2700, whose clock speed is of 2.13 GHz and which has two cores.

One thing that stands out about AIS's new products is that they utilize the Windows CE and Windows XP Embedded operating systems.

Windows 7 embedded is available as an option as well, but that only increases the number of potential customers, since customers from the industrial sector often have a favorite OS, one that they know better than the rest.

Back to the hardware, there are several communication ports (RS232, RS485 and Ethernet), plus TCP/IP via Ethernet (traceability, easy validation, service and diagnostics via the Internet).

Furthermore, the company included flush/panel mount and VESA mounting options.

AIS intends for them to be employed as user interfaces in process control industries and industrial automation.

On that note, the products come with color TFTF display and HDMI interactivity, plus easy-to-use interfaces.

Integrated 5 wire resistive touch support is present as well, and the HMI panels are durable, since ruggedness is quite important in factories.

Not only that, but the industrial embedded touch panel PCs possess a high resistance to humidity, temperatures, vibration (depending on storage devices) and shock.

Finally, the materials and power requirements used by AIS in the creation of the products enabled them to earn FCC/ CE (DoC) and RoHS.

It should be simple to include the pre-designed operator terminals into new and existing installations. Go to the official product page of the systems for more information on the collection and each offer in particular.
