It improves CPU benchmarks and adds support for new hardware

FinalWire has just rolled out a new version of their diagnostic and benchmarking tool, AIDA64 (Extreme and Business Edition). The fresh release brings to the table a set of modifications that touch on CPU benchmarks, as well as on new hardware support.

New in this revision is the revamped PhotoWorxx digital photo processing benchmark, which includes AVX, SSE4.1 and XOP optimizations. On the same note, the AES data encryption benchmark contains AESNI, SSE4.1 and VIA PadLock optimizations.

AIDA64 2.70 features preliminary support for AMD “Kabini” APU (accelerated processing unit) and better benchmarks for AMD FX-Series “Vishera” CPU. Also, it can handle for socket FM2 motherboard.

The fresh release also includes support for VirtualBox 4.2 and VMWare Workstation 9, as well as for Samsung 840 and 840 Pro SSD.

As far as graphic cards are concerned, AIDA64 can offer details for nVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti, Quadro K-Series, VGX K-Series.
