Although there is still some time left until the CeBIT 2011 fair opens its gates, a wide series of hardware manufacturers have already announced the solutions they plan to showcase during the fair, ADATA being the latest company to join the list.

The first products in the company's lineup are the S102 USB flash drive, and the CH11 external hard drive, both of these external storage solutions using the SuperSpeed USB 3.0 standard which deliver improved transfer rates in comparison with the old USB 2.0 interface.

Of the two, the S102 thumb drive is especially interesting since it offers the high data throughput associated with USB 3.0 while catering to the budget conscious crowd.

The drive offers between 8GB and 32GB of storage and is capable of sustaining 68MB/s sequential reads and 30MB/s sequential writes, not as much as other USB 3.0 solutions but definitely faster than a USB 2.0 flash drive.

On the solid state drive front, ADATA will showcase the S511, a blazing fast SATA 6Gbps solid state disk compatible with Intel's new Sandy Bridge platform.

According to the company, the new drive is capable of reaching sequential read/write speeds of 520 MB/sec, almost reaching the theoretical limit of the SATA 6Gbps interface.

These speeds are achieved by using a SandForce SF-2200 controller paired together with 34nm or 25nm NAND flash (a previous version of the drive featured 34nm Toshiba-built flash).

In addition, ADATA also wants to showcase the HM series of power supplies, which was introduced back in the fourth quarter of 2010.

These can provide between 550W and 1200W, feature a power factor correction of 0.9 as well as 80 PLUS Bronze certification and are designed for the gamer, high-performance, and overclocker markets.

As usual, CeBIT 2011 will be held in Hannover, Germany, at the beginning of March (March 1-5).
