Being the maker of NAND and DRAM memory products that it is, ADATA did not let much time go by without a new product release, with this particular occasion marking the arrival of a new dual-channel RAM kit.

The DRAM market may not be as varied as the laptop or desktop one, since there is only so much one can change to a small memory module, but there are still several sorts of such products, depending on the traits according to which one can make a classification.

One thing that can be taken into account is the amount of energy a DDR solution needs, especially with the emphasis on power-efficiency that defines today's hardware market.

The new memory kit that ADATA has put together, while still a gaming-oriented offer, can work on a low voltage.

For those that don't know, modules can operate at several voltages, like 1.5 V, 1.65 V, 1.35 V, according to their intended user base.

1.35 V is otherwise known as the low-voltage specification and is exactly the sort of parameter that the new ADATA XPG 4 GB dual-channel product adheres to.

In the company's own words, the two 2GB DDR3 modules that make up the 4 GB kit “feature high-density, low timing and low voltage, enhanced system stability, and improved performance to meet market needs and especially those of gamers.”

The operating frequency is of 1,333 MHz, while the latencies are of 8-8-8-24 (XPG) or of 9-9-9-24 (Gaming).

Of course, the 1,333 MHz mark is quite the feat for low voltage specifications and, thus, generates some heat.

Fortunately, the company provided vermilion aluminum heatsinks and made sure the PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) are of high quality.

The official announcement says that availability should have already been reached, or soon enough will, but no prices are given.
