It focuses on both performance and capacity from the onset

Normal DIMM memory modules may not be able to provide 16 GB RAM yet, but the same cannot be said for the types used in workstations and servers / data centers.

And with Intel having finally launched the Haswell-EP line of Xeon CPUs, this is the perfect time for such a memory to make its debut.

So, without further ado, let's welcome the new ADATA DDR4 modules of 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB capacities, as well as 2,133 MHz clock speed.

They enable a bandwidth of 17 GB/s and power efficiency of up to 20% compared to DDR3 solutions, thanks to the 1.2V rating.

ADATA believes that companies and organizations with emphasis on energy efficiency and environment friendliness will be especially interested in its new products.

There are three form factors that the new memory is available in: DDR4 R-DIMM (for server / enterprise), DDR4 VLP R-DIMM (high-end blade servers), and DDR4 ECC SO-SIMM (micro servers).

There are PC modules too in the line, like the 2,133 MHz Premier DDR4 2133 U-DIMM and the much faster XPG Z1 of up to 3,200 MHz and 25.6 GB/s.

ADATA will sell its memory both standalone and as part of kits. You might have to base your PC off a Xeon Haswell-EP CPU instead of Core i7 Haswell-E to make the best of them though.
